We are seeking a reliable individual to ensure Trade Desk’s international payroll process is executed flawlessly and will scale with the growth of our business. This is an opportunity to be a key contributor to Trade Desk’s international Payroll team. This role is based in our Shanghai office and reports into the Director, Global Payroll.
What you will do
Overseeing the monthly APAC region payroll functions to ensure that all payroll related tasks are delivered to deadlines. Providing support to the EMEA payroll team where required.
Audit and validate all payroll submission data for accuracy and reasonableness
Accurately process compensation related to employee equity
Review draft payroll reports before sign-off with payroll specialist and managing month-end activities to specific deadlines
Responsible for payroll funding preparation for each country
Prepare payroll flux workbooks and performing controls in accordance with SOX framework
Collaborate with cross functional partners such as HR, Compensation and Benefits, and Workday HRIS
Be subject matter expert for payroll and point of contact for escalations
Develop ad-hoc payroll reporting as needed
Support the payroll director in designing consistent and streamlined processes across regions.
Who you are
A proven track record of multi country payroll processing experience, including setting up new country payrolls
Current experience with Workday HCM/ CloudPay payroll system beneficial
Demonstrate leadership skills
Extensive knowledge of payroll principles and best practices
Strong analytical skills and ability to perform detailed payroll calculations
Possess clear understanding of taxation of employer provided benefits
Experience with reporting employee equity compensation beneficial
Possess an aptitude for customer service
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel/Word)
Experience working for a US publicly held company under SOX compliance beneficial
CIPP is a plus.
