DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a fast-paced technology company and a leader in the world of data centers. We are looking for senior technical engineers who are interested in joining an elite team and eager to learn the skills necessary to maintain one of the world's largest IT infrastructures in AWS Data Centers.

The successful candidate shall take ownership, self-motivated and follow standard processes/procedures, maintain high operational standards in supporting advanced hardware, servers, storage and networking devices. They need to adapt to fast and constantly changing environment and require shift work including weekend and holiday for 7x24 basis.

Key job responsibilities
•7x24 roster duty in data center operations
•Incident first responder and onsite hands-on support
•Break-fix and troubleshoot technical issues on all systems, hardware and network devices
•Develop and customize local process guidelines to enhance operations efficiency
•Take up small scale local initiative and deliver according to agreed timeline
•Capacity landing and decommissioning
•Maintain proper media operations according to process guideline
•Network cabling include optics, fiber and copper cables
•Enforce Amazon Security and Safety policies and best practice
•Site management and operation
•Innovate and contribute from day-to-day operation experiences to improve operation efficiency.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

•Bachelor or equivalent qualifications in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering or related disciplines.
•3+ years of IT infrastructure operations experience or server / network hardware and operation systems maintenance / troubleshooting experience.
•Industry experience in Data Center Operations.
•Experienced in computer, Server, Storage or Network hardware troubleshooting.
•Experienced in structure cabling and troubleshooting fiber optic network cables.
•Strong understanding on incidents response and prioritization.
•Good in written and verbal communication English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•LINUX operating system, Hardware or Network certificates.
•Knowledge on VM/cloud computing environment.
•Knowledge on Copper or Fiber Optic testing methodologies.
•Knowledge on continuous process improvement.
•Understanding of data center safety and security environment.
