Data Center Customer Operations Engineer

Job Summary
We currently have 2 x open position in which the successful candidate's will provides support to security system design and uses expertise to recommend system modifications. The role will suit someone with some exposure to data centers or similar environments, or recent Diploma Graduates particularly those with experience in Networking.

Responsibilities
Installations

  • Racks and stacks customer equipment

  • Reads installation plans (Visio Drawings / Spreadsheets) and implements installation accordingly


Queue Management

  • Determines work priorities from the Oracle queue and ensures adherence to all commit times


Testing/Troubleshooting

  • Troubleshoots switched / multiplexed / media converted circuits; escalates to, and works with networking group, as needed


Cross Connects

  • Installs/tests/modifies cross connects per SOPs and ensures proper cable management of: coax, fiber, twisted pair copper, and intra-building cross connects

  • Installs and tests advanced cross connects circuits (switched, multiplexed, etc.)


Documentation/Reporting

  • Maintains detailed written records of all work activity


Projects

  • Leads advanced installations; provides input and identifies problems with drawings, and assists with verification of custom projects


Training

  • May provide training to others on operations procedures and basic safety

  • Identifies site specific safety issues and integrates into training


Customer Management

  • Supports customer satisfaction through timely and precise order execution and quality assurance checks

Qualifications

  • Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply!

  • Diploma or degree in engineering, including electronics and telecommunications

  • Able to work on shift arrangements
